Three days ago, Scott Morrison was denying there was a leadership challenge under way. Now he’s a candidate for the leadership himself – and possibly the most likely to gather votes from across the ideological divide that has torn the Liberal party asunder.
In a more orderly contest Morrison would have been relying on the conservatives as his core support.
