AFL players will unite on Friday night in a simple show of solidarity at the end of a week in which an Australian senator delivered a speech in parliament calling for a “final solution” on Muslim immigration.
Essendon’s Adam Saad and Richmond’s Bachar Houli, both practising Muslims, will join their captains in the centre of the MCG to toss the coin at the beginning of the game.
