British-Iranian reunited with four-year-old daughter after being released on furlough
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, the British-Iranian woman sentenced to five years in jail in Iran for spying, has been released on furlough for the first time in more than two years.
Zaghari-Ratcliffe, 38, whose imprisonment has overshadowed Iran-UK relations, has spent over two years behind bars in Tehran’s Evin prison. She had been reunited with her four-year-old daughter, Gabriella, who was placed in the care of her Iranian family while she was kept in jail, her husband Richard Ratcliffe said.
