Death of Australian Sinead McNamara on superyacht in Greece investigated

Twenty-year-old was working as a crew member on Mexican billionaire’s luxury ship

An investigation is under way into the final hours of an Australian who died on a billionaire’s superyacht in the Mediterranean.

Sinead McNamara was working as a crew member on the Mayan Queen IV when she died on board the ship early on Friday while it was anchored near Kefalonia. The six-storey ship, valued at about US$140m, belongs to the Mexican mining magnate Alberto Bailleres.
