Roosters run riot to deny NRL grand final repeat for the Storm

Cooper Cronk made a miraculous return from a shoulder injury but couldn’t steer his new side Sydney Roosters to victory over his old club Melbourne Storm in the NRL grand final, instead it was his halfback partner Luke Keary who did all the damage in an emphatic 21-6 win.

The Roosters stopped the Storm making history, to become the first club to win back-to-back premierships after Brisbane Broncos 15 years ago, and sending out the retiring Billy Slater out a winner, with an electric first-half display at ANZ Stadium on Sunday night.
