If equality meant justice, then justice would mean no ramps for the disabled or Health Care Cards for low-income earners — we'd all be subject to "equal treatment", regardless of need. The same applies to school funding, and this is why public and private schools were always treated differently under Gonski, writes Glenn C. Savage.
