England were handed one of the biggest one-day defeats in their history as they ended a victorious series over Sri Lanka with a humbling defeat in the fifth and final match.
The tourists may be deserved world No1s and on their finest ever run of results in limited-overs cricket, but this crushing in Colombo was an unwelcome throwback to darker days.
