At least one death reported after earthquake struck in the north-west of Caribbean island
A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck near the northernmost tip of Haiti late on Saturday, injuring a number of people and causing some damage to buildings, including an auditorium that collapsed, authorities and media reported.
The quake struck about 20 km (12.3 miles), north-west of the port of Port-de-Paix, the US Geological Survey said. Local media reported at least one death.
