Video shot in November 2017 and recently shared on the Facebook page of the Australian Cycle Alliance shows a cyclist travelling in the bike lane along Inkerman Street in St Kilda, Melbourne when a dark car swerves to the left and hits him.
The driver, Michael Giarruso, pleaded guilty to recklessly causing injury over the incident. He was convicted and fined $1,000.
