Rising energy and childcare costs show need for wages reform, unions say

ACTU report shows electricity costs are up 10.4% in the past year and childcare costs are up 6%

Energy, childcare and housing prices have soared higher than average cost-of-living measures, new research has revealed.

An Australian Council of Trade Unions report released on Friday shows electricity costs have jumped 10.4% in the past year, with gas up 7.1% in the same period.
