McLachlan is suing Fairfax Media, the ABC and former co-star Christie Whelan Browne for defamation
Craig McLachlan has declined to be interviewed by Victorian police about assault and indecent assault allegations against the actor from 2014, his defamation hearing has been told.
Trent Glover, for the police commissioner, on Friday said the refusal was one reason why he was abandoning a foreshadowed application to preclude access to certain documents, produced in response to subpoenas, on the ground of public interest immunity.
