German who served Nazis at Stutthof concentration camp charged with being accessory to hundreds of murders
A former SS guard wept in the dock on the first day of his trial for complicity in mass murder at a Nazi concentration camp during the second world war.
The 94-year-old German from the western district of Borken, in the North Rhine-Westphalia state, served as a guard from June 1942 to September 1944 at the Stutthof camp near what was then Danzig, now Gdansk in Poland.
