Wentworth byelection winner says evidence ‘most important’ on whether minister should be referred to high court
Independent Kerryn Phelps has said she will seek an urgent briefing on the constitutional eligibility of Liberal MPs Peter Dutton and Chris Crewther after she is officially declared the winner of the Wentworth byelection on Monday.
The Australian Electoral Commission was set to declare Phelps the winner with a margin of 1,850 votes or 1.2% in two-party-preferred terms after a record 19% swing against the Coalition.
