In a submission to a Senate hearing into political interference, ex-boss says board members told her to sanction broadcaster for criticising her on air
Michelle Guthrie came under pressure from the ABC board to reprimand Jon Faine after the Melbourne broadcaster criticised her on air, a Senate inquiry has been told.
The sacked ABC managing director, who will appear before an inquiry into political interference at the ABC on Friday, detailed in a written submission how board members Vanessa Guthrie and Georgie Somerset told her she should sanction Faine for his treatment of her and a disability campaigner, Carly Findlay, who complained of insensitive questioning.
