Renegades last ball boundary secures dramatic win

The Melbourne Renegades have collected one of the most dramatic wins in the short history of the WBBL with Claire Koski scoring the four runs required off the final ball to secure victory over the Adelaide Strikers. Needing eight off the final over, the Renegades managed four singles off the first five balls before Koski managed to swipe Sophie Devine to the square-leg boundary at St Kilda’s Junction Oval.

Koski (39 not out) and Erika Kershaw (30 not out) perfectly engineered the run-chase with an unbroken 62-run stand off 46 balls. English opener Dani Wyatt kept the Renegades’ innings together during the early stages of Saturday’s game with an impressive 62 off 47 balls.
