It came, it enchanted and now it’s gone again: the Irish beach that reappeared off the County Mayo coast in 2017 after a 34-year absence, garnering worldwide attention, has vanished again.
Winter storms have swept away the sand at Dooagh, Achill Island, leaving only rock and a reminder that what nature gives it can take away.
