FA to investigate allegations of racist chanting by Millwall supporters

The Football Association has launched an investigation into reports of racist chanting during Millwall’s dramatic FA Cup fourth-round victory over Everton, with the club vowing to impose lifetime bans against any supporters found guilty of the offence.

A video posted on social media appears to show home fans using highly offensive words during Saturday evening’s game at the Den. That has led to action by the FA, which in turn could result in Millwall being fined and possibly forced to play a number of games, including their fifth-round tie should they be draw at home, behind closed doors.
