Manchester anti-terror police question man over stabbings

Man, 25, remains in custody but is refusing to cooperate with officers

Counter-terrorism police continued to question a Somalian man after three people including a British Transport Police (BTP) officer were stabbed in a “frenzied attack” during New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Police said the 25-year-old man, who had been living in the UK for about a decade, remained in custody and was refusing to cooperate.
