Sydney FC’s defence has denied Sam Kerr and Perth Glory an inaugural W-League championship, but it was their frontline that stole the headlines on a day where goals rained - with the Sky Blues running out 4-2 winners.
With all eyes pre-game on the battle between Matildas sharp shooters Sam Kerr and Caitlin Foord, it was American Savannah McCaskill who lit up the contest, scoring a brace for the Sky Blues, after compatriot Sofia Huerta belted one of the goals of the season to open the scoring on Saturday afternoon.
