Thirty-six years after Kapil Dev’s India – 66-1 outsiders – lifted their first World Cup, at Lord’s, they enter the 2019 tournament as joint favourites with England. Leading them this time is a man who has been part of two successful World Cup campaigns – the under-19 edition in 2008 (as captain) and the grown-up version in 2011 (as the youngest player in the squad).
