England win a corner. A cross is swung in from the left, for which White challenges the goalie Dervishi. They both miss it but Zivikj, unwittingly, diverts the ball into her own net at the far post. There is no longer any doubt about the result tonight, and I feel for the visitors a bit, because they have really fought hard in this first half. But England’s superiority is increasingly evident.
Toone is involved as England play into the penalty area. There’s a bit of a mix-up in defence and the ball breaks to White, 10 yards out, and she has no hesitation in sending a crisp left-footed finish low into the corner of the net. A tidy finish.
